Still Another Unsolved Mississippi Murder? Cleve McDowell investigated delta murder victims, including Emmett Till.

NOTE: I hope you enjoy this free audio book. If you do -- please check out my newest eBook, The Plan. It is based on the Emmett Till story and others coming from the Mississippi Delta. The story begins with the murder of "Clinton Moore," an older black, gay lawyer who was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta. This character was based on Mr. McDowell, who was born in the same year as Emmett Till. The murder of the 14-year-old affected McDowell deeply and he'd maintained contact with Emmett's mother over the years as he tried to learn more about who was involved in this lynching.

Story

Public radio interview on the story of Emmett Till, the 14-year-old killed in the Mississippi Delta in the summer of 1955. His murder led to the decision by Rosa Parks, in Montgomery, Alabama, to sit in the front of a city bus. The modern civil rights movement soon began. Till's lynching is said to be the spark that united this movement.
